In a rare gesture by a public representative, Finance Minister T Harish Rao felicitated a DE TSSPDCL Sangareddy, ADE and other employees by appreciating their work on an electric line at Narayanareddy Colony, a prominent slum in Sangareddy municipality, at TSSPDCL office in Sangareddy on Monday.

The Minister, who launched the distribution of groceries to contract workers, TSSPDCL on the premises of its office, has said a complaint on an electric line had remained pending for over 30 years in Narayanareddy Colony. As the people brought it to the notice of him during Pattana Pragathi, the Minister has instructed the DE, Ramesh Chandra to get it resolved immediately because it resulted in many electricity related accidents in the locality. Praising the work of the Ramesh Chandra, ADE, Shreyan and other staff down the line in the hierarchy, the Minister has felicitated both the officers for getting the issue solved within a short time. He has further said that such appreciation would encourage the officials in discharging duties efficiently.

Hailing the entire electricity department’s work in supplying the uninterrupted power supply during the lockdown period, the Minister has said that the employees have done a wonderful job even braving the risk of COVID-19. Without their committed effort, Rao has observed that that industries and agriculture sectors would have landed in the trouble.

The TSSPDCL employees association has gathered donations between them to support the 1,250 contract workers working in TSSPDCL offices across the district. The Minister has praised them for their concern towards contract employees.

Zilla Parishad Chairperson, P Manjusri, Collector, Sangareddy, M Hanumantha Rao, former MLA, Chintha Prabhakar, Municipal Chairperson, B Vijayalakshmi, Superintending Engineer, Transco, Ravi Kumar and others were present.
