Health Minister Harish Rao criticized the Center’s attitude of beating the farmers and giving it to the corporates. The Minister, who participated in the swearing-in ceremony of the Patancheru New Market Committee, lamented that the Center is taking ill-advised decisions regarding the purchase of rice.
He said that the farmers have already suffered severely due to the central decisions. He said that the decisions taken by the Center have become a curse for the farmers.
He said that the Telangana government said to buy grain, but the Center did not listen. Harish said that the Center is acting without understanding about rice. He made it clear that the whole country is now looking towards Telangana.
Telangana has become a granary. He said that the state which was a drought area in the previous government has now turned green.
The minister revealed that if paddy is cultivated on 72 lakh acres in the united state. Currently, in Telangana, rice is cultivated on 65 lakh acres.
