Harish Rao, Kavitha Greetings To Mark National Girl Child Day

Hyderabad, Jan.24 (Hydnow): On national girl child day of Jan 24, Finance and Health Minister T Harish Rao today extended greetings to the girls in the state. In his twitter handle, the minister said “Let them fly high” to mark the national girl child day.

Harish Rao tweeted — let them fly high. Kavitha tweeted – Empower her and see her touch the sky, greetings to all on National Girl Child Day.

MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha also extended greetings to girl children to mark the occasion. In his twitter handle, the minister stated that people have to support and encourage the girl children to grow.

In 2008, the Centre declared January 24 as the national girl child day. The aim is to empower the girls to get social awareness, overcome suppression. The national girl child day encourages the girls to grow in education, health and other fields. It also boasts of providing protection, rights, nutrition, social growth, health and education.
