Several other areas, including Serilingampally, Saroornagar, Khairatabad, Qutbullapur and Balanagar also experienced upto 90 mm rainfall.

The continuous downpour triggered waterlogging and inundation in several areas. The temperatures in the city too have dropped due to the showers. The highest maximum temperature recorded on Wednesday by IMD was 24.4 degree Celsius, which is at least six degree less than the normal.

According to IMD forecast, a low pressure is forming on central Bay of Bengal, and is likely to intensify into a depression, on September 6. Due to this, the city will continue witnessing heavy rain including thundershowers for the next three to four days.
