Hyderabad: Inspector Suspended for Assaulting Constable
Hyderabad, Nov 26: City police commissioner CV Anand has suspended inspector G Raju working in the South Zone for assaulting and abusing an on-duty cop in Vanasthalipuram on November 3.
Inspector Raju was caught by his wife in a compromising position with another woman in a parked car in Vanasthalipuram.
Alerted by his wife, a patrolling team with constable Ramakrishna and home guard Nagarjuna Naidu reached the spot. Raju assaulted the patrolling team, causing injury on the face of Ramakrishna. Raju was arrested and produced before the magistrate. After thorough investigation, the police commissioner issued suspension orders.
The Union Home Minister has alerted the states of the country in the wake of the Indo-Pak War. The Telangana government and police, which were immediately alerted, took preemptive measures. Security has been tightened in Hyderabad.
