Illegal Water Adulteration Racket Busted in Amberpet
Hyderabad, April 8: Authorities busted an illegal water adulteration racket in Amberpet on Tuesday, April 7, after raids exposed unsafe packaged water units.
Police acted on a tip off and raided three purification units in Bapunagar. During the operation, officials found several contaminated water packets. They said the units worked in poor hygienic conditions and supplied unsafe drinking water.
Moreover, the discovery raised serious public health concerns. Officials immediately seized the stock and began further checks.

Amberpet Inspector Tarun Kumar said four suspects were detained. Police identified them as Jaber, Javed, Naeem and Junaid. “We collected samples and sent them for testing. The investigation is underway,” he said.
Meanwhile, police warned operators against running such units without approvals. They stressed strict enforcement of safety norms. Authorities also sealed several units for detailed inspection.
Furthermore, officials said they will continue inspections to prevent such violations. They urged the public to report suspicious water supply units.
