India Logs 841 Fresh COVID-19 Cases In A Day

Delhi/Hyderabad, Dec 31 (Hydnow): Covid-19 epidemic is again booming in the country. A new form of Covid JN.1 is spreading rapidly in the form of a sub-variant. With this, 841 new positive cases were reported on Sunday, per the data given today at 8 am.   

This is the first time that such a large number of cases have been reported on a single day in the last seven months. Meanwhile, with the latest cases, the number of active cases in the country has reached 4,309. Similarly, three more died.  All of them are from Kerala, Karnataka, and Bihar, the Union Health Department revealed. 

Since the outbreak of the virus in 2020, the number of coronavirus cases in the country has crossed 4.50 crore (4,50,13,272), and people died 5,33,361. Another 4,44,75,602 people have recovered. The recovery rate is 98.81 percent. The government has distributed 220.67 crore corona vaccines to date. So far, 178 JN.1 cases have been reported in the country. 47 people died. Most of them are 47 in Goa, 41 in Kerala, 36 in Gujarat, and 34 in Karnataka. (Hydnow)
