Hyderabad, Oct.16 (Hydnow): The bountiful of rains in the upstream areas of Krishna River have increased the inflows of the flood water in its Projects.
The authorities of Srisailam reservoir have opened two crest gates of the project and released the flood water to the downstream areas.
As against the total capacity of 885 feet, the project now has reached the full tank level prompting the authorities to release the water to the downstream areas.
On the other hand, the Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir is also receiving huge amount of the inflows of the flood water.
The authorities of the project are releasing the water to the downstream areas of the project by opening ten gates of the reservoir.
The Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir has received 1.32 lakh cusecs of the inflows of the flood water. As against the total capacity of the 590 feet, the project now has 589 feet of the water. (Hydnow)
