The Telangana government has imposed a 20-hour lockdown, with four hours off each day, in response to the escalating number of corona cases in the second wave. Anjani Kumar, the Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad, said the state’s Police has been enforcing a rigorous lockdown. However, the Police have discovered that some persons have been abusing the e-passes to circumvent the lockdown rules. In recent days, several bogus passes have been reported.
With this in mind, CP Anjani Kumar has said unequivocally that the use of fraudulent passes, duplicate prescriptions, and showing some xerox copies will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The violators will face serious consequences, according to the CP.
