Hyderabad, Aug 5 (Hydnow): Centre for Urdu Culture Studies (CUCS), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organizing patriotic singing competitions on the occasion of Independence Day under the broader ambit of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The topic for essay writing competition is “Har Ghar Tiranga : Significane and Message”.
Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor will also inaugurate a special poster exhibition on Women Freedom Fighters on 15th August being organized by the Department of Women Education.

Led by Congress senior leader and former minister Mohammed Shabbir Ali, hundreds of Congress party workers staged a protest in front of Domakonda Government Hospital in Kamareddy district on Tuesday, demanding immediate upgrades and improvements to the healthcare facility. Shabbir Ali warned that if the hospital is not upgraded to a 100-bed facility by the 1st of July, he would initiate a hunger strike.
