Hyderabad, July 7 (Hydnow): Noted folk artiste Balladeer Nissar died while undergoing treatment at continental hospitals in city. He has been under treatment for lungs related problems since the last couple of days.
Nissar was born in suddala village of Gundala mandal of the Nalgonda district. He started his career as a lorry driver and later became conductor. He used to take part in people agitation out of interest and took part in hundreds of such agitation. The activists of civil liberties expressed their condolences over the death of Nissar.
Noted for his folk songs during the Telangana movement, Mohammad Nissar Ahmed, popularly known as Nissar, was also State Secretary for RTC Employees Union and was an influential figure in the field of folk music in Telangana.(Hydnow)
