Hyderabad, May 28 (Hydnow): State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today said former chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh N T Rama Rao had changed the history of Telugu politics. He also said NTR was the pride of Telugu cinema and Telugu people. He also said NTR had changed the politics of the Telugu States.
After paying tributes to late NTR on his 100th birth anniversary, the State BJP chief said NTR had ruled the Telugu film industry for five decades and donned severe roles, including ancient, folklore and James Bond roles. He recalled that NTR not only played the roles of Rama and Krishna but also negative roles like Duryodhana and Ravansura.
Targeting AIMIM party, Bandi said it was unfortunate that the old city based political party had conspired to demolish the NTR Ghat in the past. He said the responsibility to protect NTR Ghat lies on the shoulders of all Telugu people. (Hydnow)
I could never wrap my head around Bollywood’s obsession with continuously addressing condom as a chhatri or an umbrella. Not only it’s cringe to hear repeatedly but also, it somewhere defeats the whole purpose with which films around these subjects are made. Moreover, picking a taboo subject and making a film on it can turn out to be quite risky if you don’t stick to the agenda and beat around the bush. Thankfully, Rakul Preet Singh’s Chhatriwali, directed by Tejas Prabhaa Vijay Deoskar, doesn’t digress much, and follows a crisp screenplay. There are some flaws here and there, but with all the humour and lighter moments, they can be somewhat overlooked.
