The Minister instructed the district officials for effective coordination for protecting the lands and interests of the farmers and people. The state will come up with a podu land policy to protect its farmers, the Minister assured.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed a plan for protecting Podu land farmers in the state. We have to ensure that the Podu and forest lands are protected and farmers involved in the process be safe and get benefited, KTR said.

The municipal minister asked the political parties to stop mud-slinging at the government on podu lands, forest lands, farming activities and irrigation projects.

The Podu farmers should trust the government to plan out to protect their interests with new policy, he added.
