Rajagopal Reddy Was Sold Out For Money: Energy Minister

Hyderabad, Oct.8 (Hydnow): Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy alleged that former MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy was sold out for the money and he had changed the party from Congress to BJP after getting a contract worth about Rs.22,000 crores granted by the union government.

Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday, Minister Jagadish Reddy said that the people of the Munugodu Assembly constituency didn’t wish for the by-election and the election was forced to come because of the greedy nature of Rajagopal Reddy who had quit the Congress and joined the BJP for getting a contract.

“In a news channel interview, Rajagopal Reddy has openly admitted that he has been in touch with the BJP for the last three years and he got a contract six months ago. Rajagopal doesn’t have any morals and ethics as he has been representing Congress but is in touch with the BJP. He doesn’t have any love and affection for the people of the constituency and has joined the BJP for purely amassing the wealth,” Jagadish Reddy alleged.

The Minister said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) was planning to approach the Election Commission of India (ECI) to lodge a complaint against Rajagopal Reddy for admitting the fact that he has joined the BJP after obtaining the contact.

He said there would be no use in casting vote in favor of Rajagopal Reddy and the development would come to a standstill in the constituency if the BJP is voted.

The Minister cautioned the people that the electric meters would be installed at the agriculture pump sets if the BJP is voted in the by-election.

Chhatriwali Movie Review: Rakul Preet Singh’s film is informative but lags in bits

I could never wrap my head around Bollywood’s obsession with continuously addressing condom as a chhatri or an umbrella. Not only it’s cringe to hear repeatedly but also, it somewhere defeats the whole purpose with which films around these subjects are made. Moreover, picking a taboo subject and making a film on it can turn out to be quite risky if you don’t stick to the agenda and beat around the bush. Thankfully, Rakul Preet Singh’s Chhatriwali, directed by Tejas Prabhaa Vijay Deoskar, doesn’t digress much, and follows a crisp screenplay. There are some flaws here and there, but with all the humour and lighter moments, they can be somewhat overlooked.
