Revanth Reddy Deceived Telangana People: KTR

Hyderabad, April 11: BRS working president K Tarak Rama Rao said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy deceived people in Telangana and will be remembered for it. He said voters would eventually reject both Revanth Reddy and the Congress party.

He referred to recent municipal polls and claimed BRS secured wins despite alleged irregularities. He said the party won Ibrahimpatnam and Kyatanpally municipalities after facing misuse of power.

He alleged that Congress tried to capture chairman posts despite BRS winning a majority of councillor seats. However, he added that justice ultimately prevailed.

At a BRS workers meeting in Ibrahimpatnam, Rama Rao felicitated newly elected representatives. He praised Prashanth Reddy, son of Manchireddy Kishan Reddy, for resisting pressure and winning.

Rama Rao accused the Congress government of a land scam linked to Pharma City. He said leaders had promised to return 14000 acres to farmers before elections. However, he claimed they were now promoting a Fourth City or Future City instead.

He said the government took contradictory stands on Pharma City. While it defended the project in court, it proposed a new project on the same land, he alleged.

He recalled that Bhatti Vikramarka, Seethakka, and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy assured farmers during their padyatra. He said they promised to return land if Congress came to power.

However, he alleged the government now plans to acquire another 16000 acres for Bharat Future City. He termed it a move to benefit the Chief Minister’s associates.

Rama Rao also criticised the handling of civic issues. He said basic urban problems remain unresolved despite large scale promises.

He questioned shifting the proposed fruit market from Koheda to areas near Rachakonda hills. He said the move appeared aimed at monetising land.

He further alleged that the government expanded the prohibited land list from 16 lakh acres to nearly one crore acres. He claimed it was being used for pressure tactics.

He accused Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and officials of influencing land settlements. He thanked party leaders who faced pressure and secured municipal positions for BRS.

Senior leaders including Manchireddy Kishan Reddy, P Sabitha Indra Reddy, Sudheer Reddy, and Kyama Mallesh attended the meeting.
