Hyderabad, April 11: Singer Mangli booked in Rs 10 crore cheating case after a complaint by an advocate in Panjagutta. Police registered a case over an alleged microfinance scheme fraud.
The complainant, advocate Subba Rao, alleged that Mangli cheated him of Rs 10 crore. He also named three others in the complaint. Therefore, police registered the case under relevant sections of BNS.
The advocate also claimed he faces a threat to his life. Meanwhile, Panjagutta police have begun an investigation into the allegations. Officials said they will examine all evidence.
Further action will depend on the findings of the probe. However, police have not yet released additional details.
