Hyderabad: The State government on Saturday issued a memo approving the academic calendar for 2021-2022 prepared by the School Education department. Accordingly, the Dasara vacations will be for 12 days from October 6.

The calendar also states that the Christmas vacation for missionary schools will be for seven days from December 22 to 28, while Sankranti holidays will be for six days from January 11 next year.

The last working day for the academic year 2021-2022 will be April 23, 2022 with the total number of working days to be 213 (47 virtual mode and 166 physical mode). The summer vacation will be from April 24 to June 12.

The memo also states that all schools must take necessary steps for health checkup of the students with the help of the local Primary Health Centre and take referral cases to the nearby Area Hospitals. The health checkup of every child twice in a year is a must, with headmasters to ensure and implement, it said.
