The Water Level In Godavari Crossed The 3rd Warning Level

Kothagudem/Hyderabad, July 29 (Hydnow): The water level in river Godavari crossed the third warning level and rose further at Bhadrachalam in the district.

The third warning was issued as the water level crossed the 53 feet mark at 8.43 pm on Friday. The flood flow which was at 54.20 feet at 5 am with a discharge of 14.87 lakh cusecs reached 54.50 feet at 10 am with a discharge of 15.02 lakh cusecs on Saturday.

As the third danger alert continues at Bhadrachalam. Traffic from Bhadrachalam to Dummugudem has stopped. At Rayanna Peta, Etapaka Mandal, flood water poured on the National Highway. Traffic from Bhadrachalam to Andhra Odisha Chhattisgad has stopped. In Mulugu too, the flow of Godavari has reached a dangerous level at Ramannagudem Pushkar Ghat of Eluru Nagaram Mandal.

At the Dhowleswaram barrage, the inflow and outflow reached 13.54 lakh cusecs. Here the 2nd hazard warning continues. Four NDRF and 4 SDRF teams participated in the relief operations. AP Disaster Management has advised people to be alert. (Hydnow)
