Two persons, a 40-year old man and his 8 year-old-son tested positive for COVID-19 at a newly built residential colony at Indresham Village of Patancheru Mandal in Sangareddy district.

As the father son duo and his wife were suffering from COVID-19 symptoms, the Doctors at Patancheru Area Hospital have shifted them Chest Hospital at Erragadda on last Thursday. However, the mother had tested negative while the rest two have tested positive. The doctors have shifted the woman to Area Hospital Patancheru and she was placed under quarantine. Nodal Officer to COVID-19 in Patancheru, Dr Giri has said that they were working on trace the primary contacts of the family to check whether any of them were suffering from COVID-19 symptoms.

The officials have said that they have sterilized the area where the family had moved during the past few days to contain the spread of the Coronavirus. Sanagreddy district, which recorded no positive cases since April 13, had recorded its first positive case after a month. It took the total positive cases in the Sangareddy district to 12. The rest two, who were tested positive before April 13, had got discharged from the Hospital. There were no active cases in Sanagreddy district until today.
