Hyderabad, May 13 (Hydnow): Polling is happening in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. So far 24 percent voting has been recorded in both the states, but here and there undesirable incidents are also taking place. An officer on election duty in Bhadradri Kothagudem district died of a heart attack there.

Assistant Presiding Officer Srikrishna collapsed in the polling booth while performing election duties. The incident occurred in Aswaraopeta – Nehrunagar polling booth -165, Shrikrishna was rushed to the hospital for urgent treatment but to no avail. Doctors confirmed that Sri Krishna died due to a heart attack. Srikrishna is a senior assistant officer in the Bhadradri Kothagudem Zilla Parishad office. His colleagues were overwhelmed with grief as he died while performing the duty of polling station.

On the other hand, an elderly woman who came to vote in the Nellimarla constituency of Vizianagaram district died. Paluri Pentamma who was standing in the queue fell. Locals alleged that she died due to a lack of proper facilities at the polling booth. But the doctors say that the old woman died due to a heart attack. It seems that Pentamma may be 55 years old.
