Bhadrachalam/Hyderabad, July 20 (Hydnow): Godavari water level is rising at Bhadrachalam. The water level, which crossed 41 feet in the morning, crossed 43 feet in the afternoon. The authorities have issued the first danger warning.

The water level in the river is gradually increasing due to heavy rains. Presently the water level of Godavari has reached 43 feet and the first danger warning issued, Officials are predicting that the flood is likely to increase due to heavy rains in the upper areas as well as in the river basin areas.

With the rains, the rainwater entered the Sitaramaswamy temple premises. Devotees are facing difficulties due to this. On the other side, the water reached Annadana Szatram. due to this, the food program had to be stopped. If the Godavari reaches 48 feet, a second danger alert will be issued. If it reaches 53 feet, the third danger is issue.

Collector Priyanka alerted the authorities in the wake of the floods, control rooms have been set up at Collectorate, Kothagudem, Bhadrachalam RDO Offices, Charla, Dumgudem, Bhadrachalam, Burgampadu, Ashwapuram, Manuguru, and Pinapaka Tehsildar offices to work 24 hours.

In the wake of the flood in Godavari, the Collector was directed to take protective measures and evacuate the people from the flooded areas to the rehabilitation centers. (Hydnow)
