Hyderabad, Aug 12 (Hydnow): TPCC President and MP Revanth Reddy has announced that the name of the Nandi Awards will be changed to Gaddar Awards when the Congress comes to power in Telangana in the upcoming elections if the Congress comes to power.
he also announced that Gaddar’s statue will be installed on the tank bund, he said that when the Congress government comes, awards will be given to poets and artists in the name of Gaddar. Gaddar was praised as the pride and legend of Telangana.
Congress party gave him more importance when Gaddar was alive and even after his death. The Congress party under the leadership of Revanth Reddy played a vital role in moving his body to the LB stadium and keeping it for public viewing. it is known that the Congress party has been demanded to conduct Gaddar’s last rites amid government ceremonies. The state government has also conducted funerals amid government formalities in unusual circumstances. Before the last rites, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao laid a floral wreath and paid his respects. He consoled his family members. Leaders like Revanth Reddy and Seethakka closely supervised Gaddar’s last rites. (Hydnow)
