Woman Ends Life After Allegedly Being Injected With HIV-Infected Blood By Former Fiance

Hyderabad, April 10 (Maxim News): An young woman who was allegedly injected with HIV-infected blood by her former fiancé has died by suicide in Medchal-Malkajgiri district.

The incident dates back to March 11 in Annojiguda under the Pocharam IT Corridor police limits. The suspect, identified as Manohar, reportedly attacked the woman after her family cancelled their engagement upon learning that he and some of his family members were HIV positive.

Angered  by the rejection, Manohar allegedly went to the woman’s house and forced her to accept the marriage. When she refused, he reportedly used a syringe to inject his own HIV-infected blood into her and fled.

Following the incident, the woman developed a high fever and was admitted to a private hospital, where she disclosed the assault to her family.
Based on their complaint, police registered a case and later arrested Manohar, who has been remanded to judicial custody.

Deeply distressed by the incident, the woman hanged herself at her residence on Thursday night. Her body has been shifted to Gandhi Hospital for autopsy.

Police are investigating. (Maxim News)
