The police suspect that they are gangs from Bihar, Odisha and Rajasthan.
When the two arrested women were questioned, they said they had come to sell Rudraksha beads. However, the police are expressing serious doubts about their attire and behavior as they are not giving a proper explanation for the reasons for the attack on the train at midnight. He advised that if people are seen roaming suspiciously in Rajasthani attire, they should immediately inform the police. He said that people in the villages around Nandigama and Thimmapur should not give shelter to strangers and asked them to call Dial 100 if there is any suspicious movement near the railway tracks. He said that the police have intensified the search with special teams and it remains to be seen whether there is any big conspiracy behind this gang or whether they are doing this for thefts.
