ECI Gives Strict Warning To Trinamool Congress

Delhi/Hyderabad, April 8 (Maxim News): The Election Commission of India ( ECI) today issued an ultimatum to the West Bengal government. It has said that this time the elections in Bengal will be held freely and without fear. The EC posted a tweet on its X account today. The EC has said that the elections will be held without violence, without threats, without checks, and without jams in polling booths. The EC has also given a stern warning to the Trinamool Congress party of that state. The EC said in its tweet that it is giving a direct warning to the TMC. It has definitely stated that this time the elections in Bengal will be held freely and without fear.

However, this morning, Trinamool leaders met CEC Gyanesh Kumar. It is learned that TMC MP Derrick O’Brien shouted at the CEC. At that time, an argument broke out between CEC Gyanesh and Derrick O’Brien. O’Brien alleged that the CEC shouted at him to leave. But the EC rejected the comments made by the TMC leader. Among those who met the CEC were Menaka Guruswamy, Sagarika Ghosh and Saket Gokhale. TMC tried to discuss with the EC on the issue of removal of 27 lakh voters. It is known that the Bengal Assembly elections will be held on April 23 and 29. (Maxim News)
