Hyderabad, April 8 (Maxim News): Former minister and BRS deputy floor leader Harish Rao has flagged the Congress government’s handling of the Kaleshwaram and Devadula projects. He expressed deep concern over the arbitrary switching on and off of heavy irrigation motors. He has written an open letter to the state’s irrigation minister, Uttam Kumar Reddy, in this regard.

They were outraged that the heavy motors in the projects were being turned on and off repeatedly, contrary to the rules, and were behaving unscientifically. They warned that if they did this, there was a risk of vibrations causing damage to the pumps, impellers, and motors. They questioned whether the motors were being damaged intentionally to cast blame on the previous BRS government. Is this government administrative negligence? Or is it a deliberate conspiracy? They questioned.

Harish Rao warned that heavy motors are designed to run continuously, and if they are stopped repeatedly, serious damage is inevitable. He expressed his anger that such careless use of projects built with thousands of crores of public money is deplorable. He said that the operation of motors in packages 6, 8, 10, 11, 12 including Chandalapur is highly objectionable. He suggested that the government should immediately stop the unscientific practice of repeatedly turning on and off the motors. He said that pumps should be run continuously in accordance with the design, as per engineering norms. He warned that you should not play with projects that are the lifeblood of Telangana farmers for your politics. (Maxim News)
