Hyderabad, April 11: KCR pays tribute to Jyotirao Phule and highlighted BRS welfare initiatives on his birth anniversary. The BRS president recalled Phule’s role in social reform and equality.
K Chandrashekhar Rao said Phule’s ideals remain relevant today. He praised his efforts to end caste, class, and gender inequality. He also noted Phule’s contribution to women’s education and empowerment.
Former CM KCR recalls welfare measures
KCR said the BRS government followed Phule’s vision through welfare schemes. He highlighted irrigation projects, free power, and support schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima. These measures aimed to strengthen the agriculture sector.
He also mentioned schemes for traditional occupations. Initiatives like sheep distribution and support for weavers helped rural communities. As a result, these efforts improved livelihoods and boosted the rural economy.
KCR said Aasara Pensions and BC Bandhu supported backward communities. He added that residential schools improved education access for BC students. Moreover, Atmagourava Bhavanalu were planned in Hyderabad for community support.
He urged the government to continue these schemes. He said such efforts align with Phule’s ideals and support long term progress.
