Hyderabad, Aug 4 (Hydnow): The Telangana government has decided to regularize land purchase agreements based on notary documents. According to the orders issued, the owners will get the rights to the purchased plots. As part of this process, applications will be received from this month to October 31.

Regularization will be completed within these three months. Naveen Mithal, Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department, has issued guidelines handing over these responsibilities to the District Collectors.

Those who purchased plots through notarial deeds can apply through Me-Seva Kendras. there is no stamp duty for a plot below 125 sq. yards. then the market price is applied to the existing area. Only notaries are regularised for plots up to three thousand square yards.

The applications are scrutinized by the Collector and divided into 22A-Government property and other properties. the final decision on this is with the Collector.

Notaries related to government places will be included under 58 and 59 and will be given an opportunity for regularization.

Notary documents link documents, property tax receipts, electricity consumption receipts, water tax receipts etc must be attached to the applications.

In Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, combined Nalgonda, Khammam, Karimnagar, and other districts, the number of property purchases with notarial agreements is in lakhs. Sources in the Stamps and Registrations department say that there are more than five lakhs in the municipalities in the suburbs of Hyderabad alone. (Hydnow)
