Hyderabad: IMD Predicts Very to Very Heavy Rain in the Next 2 Hours
Hyderabad: The Metrological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy and extremely heavy rain in the next two hours in Hyderabad.
As per the reports, heavy rains are predicted for Ramanthapur, Malakpet, Sithaphalmandi, Secunderabad and surrounding areas. Meteorological Department officials alerted the people who are living nearby Nalas and low-lying areas.
DRF, GHMC and police are indulged in preventive measures and making arrangements to shift the people from low-lying areas to safer places.
Earlier, heavy rains lashed out at various parts of the city in the early hours of Wednesday and many areas were inundated with rainwaters.
The Union Home Minister has alerted the states of the country in the wake of the Indo-Pak War. The Telangana government and police, which were immediately alerted, took preemptive measures. Security has been tightened in Hyderabad.
Thirty-two airports across northern and western parts of the country, including Srinagar and Amritsar, have been closed for civilian flight operations till May 15, according to the civil aviation regulator.
