Hyderabad: The North Zone Task Force Police achieved a major breakthrough by apprehending 19 individuals who posed as transgenders and forcefully extorted money from commuters at different traffic junctions in Hyderabad.
As per reports, the night patrol team noticed a group of individuals engaging in collecting money from people at busy traffic points across the city. Acting promptly, the police detained all of them and brought them to the respective police stations for further investigation.
Upon thorough questioning, the individuals voluntarily admitted that they were actually men disguising themselves as transgenders. In response, cases were registered against all 19 suspects under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at different police stations.
