In a significant breakthrough, Hyderabad police have apprehended a gang engaged in a sophisticated car theft and resale operation.
The gang’s modus operandi involved stealing high-end vehicles from northern states and selling them in Hyderabad at a fraction of their actual value. These stolen cars, worth a staggering Rs 3.3 crore, have been successfully recovered by the authorities.
The gang’s strategy was notably audacious, offering luxury cars originally valued at Rs 45 lakhs for a mere Rs 10 lakhs upfront.
Once the unsuspecting buyers received the documents, the gang would then attempt to extract the remaining sum. This clever scheme lured many into a web of deceit.
