Kothagudem/Hyderabad, May 6 (Hydnow): District SP Rohit said that 14 Maoists surrendered in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. Those who surrendered were given Rs. 25,000 as immediate assistance.

14 Maoist party members from Chhattisgarh surrendered before the Bhadradri Kothagudem district police and CRPF forces. Of these, 11 are men and three azre women. Two belong to the ACM cadre, SP Rohit said.

He said that they surrendered as part of the Operation Cheyuta program organized by the Telangana government. So far this year, 227 Maoists working in various cadres have surrendered before the police. (Hydnow)
