Rishi Kapoor breathed his last on April 30 at the age of 67. He was admitted to the HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday morning.

Amitabh Bachchan was the first person to reveal about the demise of Rishi Kapoor on Twitter. He wrote, “T 3517 – He’s GONE! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed!”

Since then, a lot of people started posting on Twitter mourning the demise of Rishi Kapoor. Politicians also grieved the loss of the ace actor.

Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal condoled the actor in his tweet. He wrote, “Deeply saddened by the sudden demise of actor Rishi Kapoor. He entertained several generations of Indians throughout his career. What a terrible loss… My condolences to the grieving family. May God bless his soul.”

Congress minister Rahul Gandhi also condoled the actor. “This is a terrible week for Indian cinema, with the passing of another legend, actor Rishi Kapoor. A wonderful actor, with a huge fan following across generations, he will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family, friends and fans all over the world, at this time of grief,” he wrote in his tweet.

Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot also expressed his emotions. He wrote, “Saddened to know veteran actor #RishiKapoor has passed away. It is a devastating news for his family, friends and fans. My heartfelt condolences to his close ones. May they find strength in this most difficult time. He would always be remembered for his iconic roles.”

Cabinet minister Chetan Chauhan wrote, “”Actor Rishi Kapoor Ji passes away. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and fans. May God give them strength. May his soul rest in peace. #RishiKapoor.”

MP of Surendranagar, Dr Mahendra Munjapara wrote, “Actor Rishi Kapoor Ji passes away. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and fans. May God give them strength. May his soul rest in peace #RishiKapoor.”

Member of Parliament, Nusrat Jahan wrote, “Heartbroken with the news of demise of Legendary Rishi Kapoor Sir. The movies will never be the same again. Rest in peace. Prayers and duas wishing strength for the family and fans..”

The actor was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. In September, last year, he returned from New York after his treatment. Rishi Kapoor’s last Bollywood film was the 2018 release, Not Out in which he shared screen space with Amitabh Bachchan.
