Y.S Sharmila Has Joined The Congress Party 

Delhi/Hyderabad, Jan 4 (Hydnow): YSRTP Chief Sharmila Reddy has finally joined the Congress party. in the presence of AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.  Sharmila covered the scarf of the Congress party.  With the entry of Sharmila into the congress party YSRTP merged.  

Speaking on this occasion, Sharmila said that she is happy to join the Congress party and YSRTP has been merged with the Congress.  She made it clear that she will work with commitment no matter what responsibility is given to her by the Congress party.  She said that Y.S Rajasekhar Reddy is a great leader in the Congress party.  She recalled that he always worked tirelessly for the Congress party.  She said that the Congress party is the largest secular party in the country.   She said that it will work by including all communities and everyone.  . 

As a Christian, she said the demolition of churches in Manipur hurt her deeply.  She said that this is proof of what will happen if the secular party is not in power.  She said that the Bharat Jodo yatra has increased confidence in Rahul Gandhi among himself and all the people.  It has been revealed that she did not contest by announcing her support for Congress so as not to split the anti-KCR vogte.  Y.S Sharmila stated that it was her father YSR’s ambition to see Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister. 

Sharmila reached Delhi with her husband Anil last night.  Today morning along with sharmila, AP Congress leaders and Sharmila’s followers came to the AICC office.  On the whole, the news coming in the last few days with Sharmila’s joining the Congress seems to be open. 

Rahul is inclined to hand over the reins of Andhra PCC to Sharmila, who has joined the Congress.  In a recent meeting with state leaders in Delhi, he and Mallikarjun Kharge specifically mentioned Sharmila.  All but two former MPs from the state welcome her arrival.  While PCC President Gidugu Rudraraj was expressing his opinion,  Rahul intervened and made it clear that  sharmila will be given priority in the state Congress.
