MLC Kavitha Teams Files Nomination In Support Of KCR

Hyderabad, Oct.18 (Hydnow): A team of TRS leaders led by MLC Kavitha today submitted a set of nominations to election returning officer Srinivas Reddy for the party president post ,K Chandrasekhar Rao.

The Party leaders including MPs, MLAs, MLCs have submitted the nominations to election returning officer and former MLC Srinivas Reddy at Telangana Bhavan the party office in the city here. The team of the leaders met Srinivas Reddy and submitted him the nominations seeking to reelect KCR as the TRS president.

Earlier on Sunday, a team of ministers submitted a similar set of nominations in favour of the chief minister to head the party again.

It would be a unanimous election of the TRS president as there would be no competition and all the leaders are in favour of its present president KCR.

Thus KCR would retain the president post as KT Rama Rao is working president of the party, according to information.

The nominations would be scrutinized on October 23, withdrawals on October 24 and declare the new president name on October 25 respectively. If there are no nominations from other leaders of the party, the new name would be known on October 24 itself.

The TRS would conduct a plenary of the party on a grand scale and declare the name of its new president on October 25. Party leaders P Krishna Murthy and S Madhusudhan Chary are involved in the election process. (Hydnow)
